Arrow Torpia Enhancement Script (TES) NEW UPDATES!

I've written a script for both good and evil players that allows quick access to filling their troop recruitment/resource production queues and upgrade buildings quickly, without having to wait for the sometimes excruciatingly slow page reloads on Torpia. It uses ajax to send the requests and won't refresh the page after sending.

It currently only works on Firefox with the Greasemonkey add-on installed.

Once you have Greasemonkey installed, point your browser to http://hg.slickplaid.net/uploads/tor...t_beta.user.js and select to install the greasemonkey javascript. From there you will be able to view the script under every town's main page where you can select to fill troop queues and upgrade buildings.

Please let me know if you notice any problems with the script by replying to this thread. A special thanks to everyone in The Honor Guard and The Honor Regiment for beta testing it with me.

To upgrade, uninstall all previous scripts by going to the status bar at the bottom of the browser and selecting "Manage Scripts" on the monkey face by right-clicking on it. Uninstall them and then click the new link displayed below for the latest version.

If you like the script and would like to contribute to the many long hours it's taken to develop over time, please donate!

Known Bugs
If you have a bug and would rather contact me directly, please either report the bug here:
http://github.com/slickplaid/Torpia-Enhancement/issues
or PM me on the forums. Email will also work if you have my email.
  • The script works ONLY on torpia.com (The english version).
  • The script doesn't check to see if the request actually put any troops in the queue or if a building was successfully upgraded. If you don't have enough resources or weapons to complete the request, it just won't build or put any more troops than resources that you have in the queue even though it says it completed. The status column only tracks whether the request was sent and received by the server.
  • If you send another request before the previous click has registered as being successfully received, it will not update the status column for that request. Instead it updates the newest button pressed (twice, once for each button pressed) with the status of the first button press. As long as you don't see "Error" shown for any amount of time in any status column, the request was most likely received. If you want to be sure, wait until the status column for that row has updated or check the actual page of the building in question. This has been fixed in version 1.5.4
  • Buildings under construction won't display the currently level in the table. This is due to the title value not being correct when pulling the info off of the image map.

slickplaid's Torpia Evil Enhancements v1.2
slickplaid's Torpia Good Enhancements v1.1
Changes

  • Full changelog can now be seen at
    http://github.com/slickplaid/Torpia-...commits/master
  • v1.5.5, 5/7/2009 - Many revisions and updates to the working code. Resources now update on every click, made to look a little nicer.
  • v1.3, 4/15/2009 - Script updated and merged. Works for both ethics now. Good ethic now has the persistent goods bar displayed. Marketplace, Iron mine, Gold mine, Lumberhut, and Stone quarry are now displayed as upgradeable. Marketplace can be queued with carts. Text size decreased a small amount. Reduced some of the loops and optimized the script some more.
  • v1.2, 4/14/2009 - The evil ethic has been updated first and the latest version includes a sidebar that updates with each button press to display the current values in the town. The good ethic version will follow shortly.
  • v1.1, 4/13/2009 - Fixed minor display issues and added ajax to build buttons.
  • v1.0, 4/13/2009 - Initial version. Script is released privately to The Honor Guard alliance.

An excellently put together script. The only thing it's really missing that I see is the marketplace for good.

Thank you.

I'll be looking to add some additional options to the Good marketplace in the next few versions.

Edit: I realized you weren't talking about the trade area but rather the actual marketplace building. It has been added but I'm going to hold off on putting a button to build carts on it until the next version.

Hey there,

as i stated at the IRC, i think this is perfectly legal. Its just browser functionality.

Anyways, i think this is awesome. This is the kind of user initiative that i've been missing I looked through it, it seemed allright. I don't really mind the current pages, but i have a fast internet connection and i just open 30 tabs/village

Nice going and thanks for pointing me out the Greasemonkey plugin. 'T was something i've been missing

Enjoy torpia

ps: Moving this to General, since it belongs there. Additional interface options can be made in suggestions, apart from the topic. Although there's a lot of interface options on the todo list

Script has been updated and first post changed to reflect the changes with the new download link.

There is no longer two versions of the script. Install version 1.3 and it will automatically switch between good and evil ethics. Check the changelog for more information.

Awesome. The new enhancements, the addition of other buildings and the products in storage sidebar, this should really be the default torpia view it's so useful. I haven't entered a building to fill it up since first finding this, and it's made the grind of having to fill up and upgrade all my buildings so much simpler and easier.

The only bug/problem I've found is that walls aren't listed for good. This is a pretty minor annoyance, but since every other building is listed it would nice if walls were too.

2 thumbs way way up on this script. Worth installing greasemonkey (which I've been on-again off-again with for a long time due to the lack of really useful scripts) just for it.

Thumbs up Excellent

Works for Me,

I have not tried it yet but I did get to check out the information on the information and resources needed for certain buildings. That can be very handy as well.

Happen to have a listing somewhere with the appropriate building information maximum levels and upgrade information?
